OTTAWA- For the seventh time in eight years the Junior National Team will play a split-squad version of the Toronto Blue Jays during spring training.

The seventh annual contest will take place on March 17 at the Blue Jays’ spring home, Dunedin Stadium, in Dunedin, Florida.

“The fact that the Blue Jays continue to support this game and our Junior National Team program speaks to their commitment to amateur baseball in Canada,” said Director of National Teams and Head Coach of the Junior National Team, Greg Hamilton. “The spring training game is a highlight on our team calendar each year and something that our players will cherish for a long time.”

The first three editions (2011, 2012, 2014) of the spring training contest took place at historic Al Lang Field in St. Petersburg before shifting to Dunedin for the last three (2015-2017).

The Junior National Team will be in Florida in March for spring training based out of the Walter Fuller Complex in St. Petersburg from March 15 to 24, 2018.
