Juniors lose to Chinese Taipei at World Cup Selection camp

The Junior National Team Selection Camp moved down to Tampa Bay, Fla., earlier this week as the Juniors look to ramp up the workouts in preparation for the WBSC 2022 World Baseball Cup.
This last portion of the camp will feature three exhibition games against international competition where Canada will face off against the United States, Australia and Chinese Taipei.
Junior National Team 4-8 Chinese Taipei
The Junior National Team lost their final exhibition game in preparation for the 2022 WBSC U-18 Baseball World Cup to Chinese Taipei 8-4 in Dunedin, Fla., on Tuesday.
Sam Shaw (Victoria, BC) continues to swing a hot bat for the juniors, going 2-for-3 with a triple and an RBI while scoring a pair of runs. Max Hartman (St. Albert, Alta.) also finished 2-for-3 with a double and an RBI. Sam White (Aurora, Ont.) also enjoyed a multi-hit game, going 2-for-4 and scoring a run.
Elliott Cadieaux-Lanoue (St-Pie, Que.) was the starter for the juniors. He worked two innings and allowed four runs on three hits. Nick Frers (North Vancouver, BC) was the first out of the bullpen. He didn’t allowed an earned run in his two innings of work. He was followed by Carson Latimer (Delta, BC) also worked two innings and permitted only an unearned run. Ty Hamilton (Orleans, Ont.) closed out the game with 1 2/3 scoreless innings for the juniors.
