The Junior National Team had a tie and a win in its Victoria Day doubleheader on Monday.
Junior National Team 8-8 Cincinnati Reds DSL
The Juniors tied the Cincinnati Reds DSL 8-8 in the first game of the last doubleheader day at the Dominican Pro Academy Camp.
Josiah Romeo (Caledon, Ont.) started on the mound for the Canadians. The right-hander was victim of a two-run home run in the first inning, as he allowed two runs on only three hits and struck out two over three innings of work.

The Juniors would strike back with a four-run fourth inning that was capped by a Brayden Ricketts (Brampton, Ont.) RBI double to give his squad a 4-2 lead at the time. Ricketts finished 2-for-3 driving in a pair for the Canadians.
The Canadians would score a run in the fifth, one in the sixth, and two in the seventh after the Reds took back the lead in the bottom of the fourth inning.
Anthony Clavet (Québec, Que.) and Nathan Flewelling (Red Deer, Alta.) were key in regaining the lead during the middle innings. Clavet picked up two hits and scored a run finishing 2-for-3 while Flewelling drove in a run and scored a run over his 1-for-4 performance.
William Labonte (Montreal, Que.) and Jacob Wallace (Pincourt, Que.) each threw two innings in relief, carrying the defensive effort as a couple of miscues allowed the Reds to tie the game in the late innings.
Junior National Team 5-12 Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim DSL
The Junior National Team lost the second game of their doubleheader 12-5 to the Los Angeles Angels DSL squad.
The 12-5 setback was slightly misleading as the Angels DSL squad scored four runs in the bottom of the seventh with both teams agreeing to play a shortened seven-inning game.
