Édouard Julien (Levis, Que.) drove in both runs for the Minnesota Twins in their 2-0 win over the Pittsburgh Pirates on Sunday at Target Field.
The 24-year-old Canadian hit a sacrifice fly in the fourth inning to make it 1-0 then clubbed an RBI double for the Twins in the sixth inning to make the score 2-0.
It was the Junior National Team alum’s 21st and 22nd RBIs of the season for the Twins.
His double was his 12th of the big league campaign. He also has a triple and 10 home runs and is now batting .291 with a .385 on-base percentage.
Also of note, Twins left-hander Dallas Keuchel carried a perfect game into the seventh inning before Pirates left fielder Bryan Reynolds doubled with one out.
Keuchel exited the game after the hit.
