The first of four intersquad games at the Women’s National Team Selection Camp featured a back-and-forth affair, with Team Red ultimately coming up on top of Team Black, 10-4.

Andréanne Leblanc (Mont-Saint-Hilaire, Que.) led Team Red offensively, driving in four runs over a 4-for-5 day at the plate. Mia Valcke (St. Marys, Ont.) was a spark in the middle of the lineup for Team Red, finishing her day 3-for-4 with four runs scored.

Julianna Scott (Spruce Grove, Alta.) had a good game on both sides of the field for Team Black, driving in two runs over her 1-for-1 performance while throwing two innings in relief of one run, on one hit, a walk, and a strikeout.

Amy Johnson (Saskatoon, Sask.) threw a pair of scoreless innings late in the game, permitting only a walk and picking up a strikeout for Team Red.
