Pitcher Adam McKillican has become the second member of the 2021 NAIA national champion Georgia Gwinnett College baseball team to sign a professional contract, joining the Quebec Capitales of the Frontier League.

He is a native of Comox, B.C.

The Frontier League is an official partner league of Major League Baseball and the largest independent professional baseball league in North America. The league features 16 teams and has moved over 1,000 players to MLB teams in its 29-year history.

McKillican had a 7-3 record in starting a team-high 18 games for GGC during the 2021 national-championship season. He struck out eight batters in 6 2/3 innings to earn a victory against Southeastern University (Florida) May 31 at the Avista NAIA World Series.

The right-hander also contributed an important victory against Westmont College (California) in an elimination game of the NAIA Opening Round and pitched six solid innings in the championship game of the 2021 Association of Independent Institutions tournament – both victories.

McKillican recorded 69 strikeouts in 61 2/3 innings during his first and only season with the Grizzlies.

Georgia Gwinnett College posted a 51-10 record and won the program's first NAIA national title in 2021.
