OTTAWA- Burnaby, BC’s Theo Millas, a right-handed pitcher with the Junior National Team, will participate in the 12th annual Under Armour® All-America Baseball Game that will take place on July 22 at Wrigley Field in Chicago.

The Under Armour All-America Baseball Game, powered by Baseball Factory, annually brings together the top 40 high school players in the United States, Canada and Puerto Rico to play at iconic Wrigley Field in an American vs National game.

Millas is set to become the 14th Canadian to participate in the game joining Jake Eliopoulos (2008), Kellin Deglan (2009), Evan Rutckyj (2009), Skylar Janisse (2010), Ryan Kellogg (2011), Gareth Morgan (2011), Josh Naylor and Demi Orimoloye (2014), Andy Yerzy (2015), Adam Hall (2016) and Denzel Clarke, Noah Naylor (2017) and Cesar Valero (2018). All are graduates of Baseball Canada’s Junior National Team program.

The Under Armour All-America game is part of the three-day event, providing players with a once-in-a-lifetime baseball experience. During the week, athletes will participate in a formal workout in front of Major League Baseball scouts, and participate in a home run derby.

Since the game’s inception in 2008, 365 of the 399 draft eligible players from the Under Armour All-America Game have been selected in the MLB Amateur Draft including 108 first round picks. That includes Canadians Kellin Deglan (Texas, 2010), Josh Naylor (Miami, 2015) and Noah Naylor (Cleveland, 2018).

Millas joined the Junior National Team program in October 2017 for the annual Fall Instructional League Camp and recently participated in the Dominican Summer League tour in May. Last November, he helped Canada capture a bronze medal at the COPABE U18 Pan Am Championships in Panama.

He is eligible for the 2020 Major League Baseball First-Year Player Draft and is verbally committed to Louisiana State University for the 2021 season.
