The name, Coach Ernie, is synonymous with North Delta Baseball and young players from all over have always been eager to one day play for the renowned Coach Ernie.

The North Delta Blue Jays have been honoured to benefit from Coach Ernie’s decades long commitment to youth baseball as both a player and a coach. Coach Ernie was a dedicated coach committed to building the North Delta Blue Jays program and leading his players to many successes. He connected with his players, recognized their talents, and was a straight shooter, believing his role as head coach was to “prepare our players both physically and mentally so when they graduate from the North Delta Blue Jays organization, they’ll be ready to compete at the next level of play.”

Ernie has prepared many players for the next level as evidenced by the number of North Delta Blue Jays who have made their way through or are just starting their post-secondary baseball careers.

The players, parents and colleagues of Ernie wish him well as he retires from coaching to spend time with Margaret, his wife, and his three sons, including current Blue Jays assistant coach, Brody.
