Deadline for OBA's Middlemass scholarship is today

The R. Jack Middlemass Memorial Scholarship was established out of love for Jack and inspired by Jack’s love for baseball and its athletes.

In the spirit of Jack’s desire to help others achieve, the fund assists aspiring young people in pursuit of post secondary education. In helping further their scholastic endeavours, the scholarship provides recipients with greater opportunity to excel in life and contribute to the community.

Criteria:

-recipient will be a well-rounded OBA player of "18U" age,

-an active citizen of their community demonstrating good sportsmanship in the game of baseball,

- an enthusiasm and involvement in baseball and their community with a spirit of “giving back” and

-requires financial assistance to attend university or college (either in Canada or the United States).

Value:

$3,500 Canadian, awarded at the time of registration at university or college, and paid at the latest of acceptance or when first tuition payment due.

Requirements:

Eligible candidates should submit a one-page point form summary outlining their involvement in baseball and the community, their financial need, where they will be attending post-secondary school and in what program, and why they are eligible for the scholarship.

Applications should be submitted by June 1 of each year to the Baseball Ontario office via email as per the details below. Be sure to include full contact information including a valid email address.
