The University of Michigan baseball team earned eight total honours, including three representatives on the first and third teams, as the Big Ten Conference announced its 2023 all-conference baseball teams and individual award winners on Tuesday morning.

Junior pitcher Connor O'Halloran (Mississauga, Ont.) was named Big Ten Pitcher of the Year and to the All-Big Ten first team for the first time in his career, while senior second baseman Ted Burton and freshman outfielder Jonathan Kim were named to the third team. Kim and Mitch Voit were both named to the Big Ten freshman team with Voit being selected as a third baseman and relief pitcher. Senior outfielder Tito Flores was selected as Michigan's sportsmanship honoree.

O'Halloran was named Big Ten Pitcher of the Year and earned a spot on the All-Big Ten first team. He ranks second in the Big Ten in ERA (3.43) and strikeouts (103) and leads the Big Ten in WHIP (1.03). O'Halloran also has an 8-4 record on the season, which leads the conference in wins. He recently became the first Wolverine in program history with two 100-strikeout seasons. O'Halloran pitched a complete game against Michigan State (April 22) in which he earned the win and allowed just three runs over nine innings. He is the first Wolverine to win Pitcher of the Year since Zach Putnam in 2008.

Burton was named to the third team and leads Michigan in hits (59), home runs (13) and slugging percentage (.569). He is one of just two Wolverines to play every game this season and has started 48 games at second base. Burton has 14 multi-hit games this season, good for second-most on the team. Burton was an All-Big Ten first team selection in 2021.

Kim was named to the third team in the at-large spot and as an outfielder on the All-Big Ten freshman team. He leads the Wolverines in batting average (.331) and is tied for fourth on the team with 44 hits. Kim has started 35 of the past 39 games and leads U-M in hitting over that span. Kim was named Big Ten Player of the Week on April 3 after a five-hit performance against Illinois.

Voit was selected to the All-Big Ten freshman team at third base (unanimous) and relief pitcher. Voit is hitting .253 on the season with a .420 slugging percentage, and ranks second on the team with seven home runs. He also has pitched 30 1/3 innings on the season with five saves and 20 strikeouts. Voit was named Big Ten Freshman of the Week twice this year (March 13; May 15).

Flores was named as the team's sportsmanship honoree. He has served as a captain for the 2023 season and is hitting .268 with five home runs and 10 doubles. Flores has started 48 games on the year and appeared in 51 of U-M's 52 games.

The Wolverines open Big Ten Tournament play today (May 23) at Charles Schwab Field in Omaha, Nebraska at 10 a.m. CT against Iowa.
