Official Ontario Blue Jays News Release

The Ontario Blue Jays are excited to announce that INF Adrian Dominguez (Maple, Ont.) has committed to further his academic and baseball career at Northeast Texas Community College (NJCAA DI - Mt. Pleasant, Tex.).

The Dominguez family has been a part of the Ontario Blue Jays for the better part of the last decade as older brother Diego is now in his third collegiate season in the United States after graduating from the program in 2019.

Adrian Dominguez joined the Ontario Blue Jays (OBJ) as a 13-year-old and has played for numerous head coaches throughout his time with the Jays, before graduating St. Joan of Arc High School in 2021.

Dominguez will be joining a strong Eagles baseball program that plays amongst some of the toughest opponents in all of junior college baseball. He will bring a similar versatility as fellow teammate and Northeast Texas commit, Benny Diaz. Dominguez can play multiple positions on the infield and bring with him an aggressive left-handed swing and approach at the plate. He will look to help the Eagles in his freshman year in multiple areas.

Dominguez will be the fourth Ontario Blue Jays player to attend Northeast Texas Community College.
