Official Ontario Blue Jays News Release

The Ontario Blue Jays are excited to announce that INF Aidan McAskie (Toronto, Ont.) has committed to further his academic and baseball career at Wabash Valley College (NJCAA DI - Mount Carmel, IL).

McAskie joined the Ontario Blue Jays in 2016 as a 13-year-old and has grown up in the program while playing for head coaches Eddie Largy, Francis Cubos, Mike Siena, Sean Bignall, Greg Byron and Mike Steed.

Similar to fellow Wabash Commit, Mack Mitchell, McAskie played a pivotal role in the OBJ Collegiate Roster's run at the World Championships in Fort Myers, Fla.

McAskie will join a perennial junior college powerhouse in Wabash Valley. Coach Fournier has led the Warriors for over 25 seasons, and was off to a hot start in 2020 before the pandemic shutdown with a record of 17-2. McAskie will join a talented roster and look to jump right into the middle of the line up for the Warriors line up as a freshman.

McAskie will be the second Ontario Blue Jays player to attend Wabash Valley College.
