The Ontario Blue Jays are excited to announce that OF Mateo Zeppieri (Newmarket, Ont.) has committed to further his academic and baseball career at McLennan Community College (NJCAA DI - Waco, TX).

Zeppieri joined the Ontario Blue Jays for his 16 and under year while attending St. Maximillian Kobe Secondary School. Most recently, he played a pivotal role in Florida in the Jays finishing in the Top 16 in the WWBA World Championships in Fort Myers.

Zeppieri will join a perennial junior college powerhouse in McLennan who has been ranked in the NJCAA Top 20 since the beginning of the 2021 season. Competing in one of the toughest conference in junior college baseball, Region V. The Highlanders have made won three Region V Championships and made two NJCAA World Series trips in the past decade. Zeppieri will look to bring his brand of baseball to the Highlanders lineup this Fall.

Zeppieri will be the first Ontario Blue Jays player to attend McLennan Community College.
