Ontario Blue Jays' RHP Ryan Wells headed to Georgia Highlands

The Ontario Blue Jays are excited to announce that RHP Ryan Wells (Caledon, Ont.) has committed to further his academic and baseball career at Georgia Highlands College (NJCAA DI - Cartersville, GA).

Wells joined the Ontario Blue Jays for his 16 & Under season, playing pivotal roles as he moved through the program while attending Mayfield Secondary School.

Wells will join fellow former OBJ RHP Nic Castonguay in the Chargers’ rotation next year in Cartersville. Georgia Highlands plays all their home games at a site familiar to the program in the brand new multi-field complex at Lakepoint Sports Complex. The Chargers compete in the very challenging Georgia Collegiate Athletic Association - This past year, before the pandemic, the Chargers began the year with a 21-4 record. The strike throwing Wells will look to add a very strong team next Fall.

Wells will be the second Ontario Blue Jays player to attend Georgia Highlands College.
