Orimoloye to replace Morneau on Canada's WSBC Premier12 roster

OTTAWA – Baseball Canada would like to announce the following roster move to the Canadian Men’s National Baseball Team that will compete in the WBSC Premier12 starting November 6th in Seoul, South Korea.

1B Justin Morneau (New Westminster, BC) informed Baseball Canada that he is unable to participate in Premier12 after experiencing a setback during training. He is being replaced on the roster by OF Demi Orimoloye (Orleans, Ont.).

Team Canada will begin Premier12 preparations at Cellular Stadium in Okinawa, Japan with a two-game exhibition series against Japan on October 31st and November 1st followed by a contest against the Industrial Yushu All-Stars on November 3rd.

On November 6th, Team Canada will open Premier12 Group C play at the Gocheck Sky Dome in Seoul where they will take on Cuba.
