Official Ottawa Titans News Release
Ottawa, Ont. - The Ottawa Titans have hired Anthony Markle as their hitting coach to complete their coaching staff for the 2023 Frontier League season.
Markle heads to the Nation’s Capital after serving as an assistant coach for the Empire State Greys this past season. Markle joins manager Bobby Brown and pitching coach Tom Carcione, who each reclaim their titles from a successful 2022 season. Both inked multi-year extensions earlier this offseason.
“We are very excited for Anthony to join our staff,” said Titans manager Bobby Brown. “He has experience developing younger players and has helped them get better each and every day. Our clubhouse is going enjoy having Anthony with us and we cannot wait to get going again.”
Hailing from Williamsport, Pa., Markle began coaching in 2007 following a playing stint at Allegany College of Maryland (Cumberland, Md.). He has previously served as a coach at the Little League World Series Summer Camp and at Cavalry Christian High School (Clearwater, Fla.). Since joining the professional ranks as a coach, Markle has also suited up as a bullpen catcher in the Philadelphia Phillies’ organization.
