OTTAWA - Evan Gunn was the fastest man on the planet -- well, inside the walls of Raymond Chabot Grant Thornton Stadium on workout day Monday.
Gunn (Oshawa, Ont.), an infielder with the Team Ontario Astros, ran a 6.38 60-yard dash to have the fastest time among the position players. He beat OF Simon Baker (Cochrane, Alta.) of the Webber Academy Wildcats by a tick of the clock.
OF Matt Evans (Tillsonburg, Ont.) of the Great Lake Canadians had the farthest long jump at 2.9.
