Québec jumped out to a 5-0 lead after one inning and led 13-4 after four in yet another dominant offensive performance where they scored 60 runs in just six tournament games.

Océane Lambert, Jenny Bouthillier, Clara Dupont and Eleonore Deblois had two hits apiece for Québec while star player Alizée Gélinas knocked in three runs as part of 11 on the tournament.

Having pitched Québec into the gold medal game with a no-hitter earlier in the day against Saskatchewan where she struck out nine batters, Gélinas hit .368 in the tournament with a 1.012 OPS.

BC made a late charge in the contest pulling to within four runs of the lead before falling short.

Sarah Pengelly had a double and triple while driving in a pair of runs in the loss.

Saskatchewan takes bronze

It took extra innings and a Kaitlin Tarasoff walk-off single in the bottom of the eighth to give Saskatchewan a 3-2 win over Ontario in the bronze medal game.
