Leaders among Quebecers playing in American college and university ball

By Jacques Lanciault

Quebec’s Mr. Baseball

The winter-spring U.S. college baseball season kicked off on Jan. 22.

So 10 weeks are now in the books.

The teams of 51 of the 53 U.S. college players from Quebec have started their campaign and 47 of those players have taken part in their team’s games.

Only Louis Gendron’s team (The College of Saint Rose) has yet to start its season, but the team should begin play this week. Also, Thomas Drouin was slated to play for Baruch College, who cancelled their campaign.

The following are the statistical leaders among Quebec players competing in American universities and colleges.

Obviously, any list of leaders is skewed by the number of games played by each player, by the different systems used by the teams to compile statistics and by the calibre of play specific to each circuit.
