Official Regina Red Sox News Release

The Regina Red Sox are pleased to announce that we have partnered with 2SK Performance, On-Deck Baseball/Softball and Find a Way Training and Athletics to launch the Regina Red Sox Baseball Academy.

The partnership will bring the three entities together under the “Red Sox name” to provide high caliber year-round training plus off-season games and tournaments for their current 150 athletes.

The Academy will be located at #1-1731 Ross Ave East.

The Academy will have Chris Kayter, formally of On-Deck Baseball, to serve as president. He brings years of baseball experience to the Academy. He recently served as president of North Regina Little League and is a successful businessperson in Regina.

Partnership

The Regina Red Sox name has a long and storied history in Regina since 1931, with teams having played in the Southern League from 1942-1969 and the Saskatchewan Major Baseball League from 1969-1978. The Regina Red Sox have played in the Western Canadian Baseball League since 2005.

The formation of The Red Sox Junior Academy will see the formation of elite 13U, 15U, 17U and 19U teams training in Regina and travelling across Western Canada and the USA.

The partnership will provide synergies for both organizations for branding, marketing and youth baseball training.
