Reilly's walkoff blast for Leafs sends IBL finals to deciding game

TORONTO – Sean Reilly made the most of his two hits Thursday night, and now the Intercounty Baseball League final will head back to London for a winner-take-all Game 5 Friday night at Labatt Park.

Reilly’s home run with one out in the bottom of the 13th gave the Toronto Maple Leafs a 6-5 win over the Majors at Christie Pits. It came five innings after the veteran slugger tied the game 5-5 with a two-out single that scored Connor Lewis.

Marcus Knecht and Chandler McLaren each went 2-for-5 with an RBI, while Johnathan Solazzo and Jordan Castaldo had two hits apiece and Lewis and Dan Marra each drove in a run.

Dustin Richardson (1-0) struck out 12 in seven innings of scoreless relief for the Leafs. He yielded four hits and didn’t walk a batter.

Justin Cicatello started and went six innings, allowing five runs on seven hits with three walks and six strikeouts.

Byron Reichstein led the Majors with three hits, including two solo home runs. Carlos Arteaga had two hits and two RBI, while Cleveland Brownlee drove in a run and Hayden Jaco and Adam Filmon each went 2-for-5 with a run.
