TORONTO -- Seen walking around the clubhouse prior to Sunday's series finale against Detroit, RHP Sean Reid-Foley will start for the Blue Jays when the team takes on the Baltimore Orioles on Monday night in Toronto.

In a corresponding move, LHP Clayton Richard, who has recently been diagnosed with a stress reaction in his right knee, will be placed on the IL (Injured List) in advance of tomorrow's game.

In six Grapefruit League appearances with the Blue Jays this spring, Reid-Foley, 23, struck out 15, walked eight and allowed 14 earned runs through 15 innings of work.

Over seven starts at the big league level in 2018, the 6-foot-3 product of Jacksonville, Fla. allowed an overall WHIP of 1.560 and produced a K/9 of 11.3 over 33.1 frames.

Though no timetable is set for his return, Richard is expected to miss approximately four turns through the rotation.
