Onetime Expos pitcher Jose DeLeon has died of cancer at the age of 63.
His death was reported on social media by reporter Hector Gomez.
DeLeon was at the end of his long career when he was acquired by the Expos from the Chicago White Sox on Aug. 28, 1995 in exchange for fellow pitcher Jeff Shaw.
DeLeon appeared in seven games for the Expos, working 8 1/3 innings and striking out 12 with a 0-1 record. His last game was Sept. 18, 1995.
The Dominican Republic native also pitched for the St. Louis Cardinals, Pittsburgh Pirates and Philadelphia Phillies during a big-league career that began in 1983.
He finished with a lifetime record of 89-119 and a 3.76 ERA.
