Nate Rosser is switching schools.

And he is not moving across the state.

RHP Rosser (Delta, BC) is moving 2,271.1 miles east from the home of the Ohlone Renegades -- who play at Ohlone Field in Freemont, Calif. -- to Bulldog Park in Indianapolis, Ind., home of the Butler University Bulldogs.

Last spring for 29-13-1 Ohlone, Rosser was 5-1 in 13 games, making 10 starts, with a 3.83 ERA. In 56 1/3 innings he struck out 61, while walking 40.

Ohlone is where C Jeff Crinklaw (Cambridge, Ont.) played. He was the batterymate for first rounder Scott Thorman (Cambridge, Ont.) before the Atlanta Braves made Thorman an infielder after selecting him in the first round.

INF Ryan O’Halloran (Mississauga, Ont.) batted .233 at Butler this spring with six doubles, a triple, two homers and 14 RBIs in 36 games with a .650 OPS.

Rosser, who played for the North Delta Blue Jays, told Mark Booth of the Delta Optimist he had dedicated his career to the memory of his friend Kyle Losse who passed away in January 2018.
