Winnipeg Goldeyes left-hander Travis Seabrooke has been named to the American Association West Division All-Star Team.

The announcement was made by the independent American Association yesterday.

Seabrooke (Peterborough, Ont.) will join Goldeyes’ teammates Dayson Croes (second base), Rob Emery (catcher) and rotation mate Joey Matulovich in the All-Star contest that will be played in Kansas City on July 23.

Seabrooke, 28, owns a 3-1 record and a 3.21 ERA in 11 appearances (eight starts) with the Goldeyes this season. He has 42 strikeouts in 53 1/3 innings. This is Seabrooke’s fourth season with the Goldeyes. In 2021 and 2022, he was used exclusively as a reliever before being converted into a starter in 2023.

An Ontario Terriers and Junior National Team grad, Seabrooke was selected in the fifth round of the 2013 MLB draft by the Baltimore Orioles in 2013 out of Crestwood Secondary School in Peterborough, Ont. He toed the rubber for parts of six seasons in the O’s organization, making it to the High-A level.

Seabrooke has also pitched for Canada’s senior national team on several occasions, including at the WBSC Americas Pan Am Games Qualifier in Buenos Aires, Argentina in June 2023. In his only start at that tournament, he surrendered just two hits in Canada’s 10-0, five-inning victory over Honduras.
