Seven Ontario Terriers selected to play in T12
INF Dante Wright, RHP Owen MacNeil, LHP Campbell Ellis, INF Austin Gomm, RHP Michael Stremlaw, LHP Connor O'Halloran and INF Elijah Hammill have been selected by the Blue Jays Academy and their scouting staff to compete at the sixth annual T12 Tournament at Rogers Centre.
This year's event will take place from September 13 to 17. The goal of T12 is to provide a showcase opportunity for the best 160 amateur baseball players born in Canada, with college eligibility.
The Blue Jays Baseball Academy's intention is to provide a platform that both highlights and markets the high level of amateur baseball talent in this country.
Baseball Hall of Famer Roberto Alomar will act as the tournament commissioner and will receive assistance from his father Sandy, along with Blue Jays alumni.
Hammill and O'Halloran will suit up for the Futures Team.
MacNeil will pitch for Ontario Green while Ellis, Stremlaw, Gomm and Wright will suit up for Ontario Black.
Other teams represented will be from Quebec, Alberta, BC, the Prairies and Atlantic Canada.
