St. Clair Saints honour Anderson, Appleyard, Ferguson at 54th annual banquet
April 17, 2023
The St. Clair Saints capped another winning year with the 54th Annual Athletic Awards Banquet at the St. Clair Centre for the Arts campus in downtown Windsor on Thursday, April 13th.
Plenty of hardware was distributed as the Saints earned eight championships which included 11 medals at the provincial or national level.
The St. Clair Golf program started things by travelling to Niagara Falls in early October where the Women’s team won a Silver Medal.
Soon after Women’s Softball hosted the Canadian Collegiate Softball Association National Championship for the second time but for the first time at the campus SportsPark. It led to St. Clair’s second CCSA national crown and was part of the first undefeated season for a women’s varsity team at St. Clair which concluded with an OCAA Provincial Gold Medal in London later in October that totaled to a perfect 34-0 record.
The Men’s Baseball team also played host to a major championship at Lacasse Park in Tecumseh where the Saints accomplished the rare losers bracket comeback and captured their seventh provincial Gold Medal in just nine OCAA seasons.
