Terriers' College Player of the Week: Cameron Chee-Aloy

For the second time this season, outfielder Cameron Chee-Aloy is the top Terrier graduate in the college baseball ranks.

Chee-Aloy (Toronto, Ont.) got his week started by collecting a hit, a walk and two RBIs as the University of Illinois downed Illinois State 10-6 in a midweek contest.

That was just a primer for a three-game weekend series against Northern Illinois.

Game 1 saw Chee-Aloy go 2-for-5 with a double and an RBI in a 15-5 win.

He then went 2-for-2 with two walks and another RBI during a 16-5 victory in Game 2.

It was another multi-hit performance for the Toronto native in Game 3 as he had two hits, one of which was a solo home run, a triple, a walk and a hit by pitch in a 21-11 win.

On the season, Chee-Aloy is hitting .333 with four home runs, 22 RBIs and a .958 OPS as a freshman.

Honourable Mentions

With his home run in an 8-7 victory over McCook, catcher Josh Cote became Northeastern Junior College's single season home run record holder with 16 and the programs career leader with 30. Cote also holds the record for RBIs.

Right-hander Sam Worthen secured his ninth save for D'Youville University thanks to 1 1/3 innings of work. Worthen allowed one run on two hits with a strikeout in a 12-8 win over St. Thomas Aquinas.

AJ Karosas chipped in six hits, a walk, five RBIs and two stolen bases in three games played for the University of Charleston. He hit a two-run home run in a 20-2 Game 1 win over Davis & Elkins before wrapping up the series with a solo home run in a Game 4 victory.

Last week's Terriers College Player of the Week, Elijha Hammill, had six hits, two walks and four RBIs. One of his hits left the ballpark for a home run.

Hendrix College swept a three-game series from Oglethorpe in which Zach Marriott contributed two hits, a walk, five RBIs and a stolen base.

Hugh Pinkney stroked a hit in Rutgers’ 2-1 series win over Nebraska.

Righty Liam Carey tossed 2/3 scoreless innings in Muskingum University's 13-1 thumping of Capital. Carey issued two walks and struck out one.

Matt Ward had four hits, a walk and three RBIs as Niagara University swept a three-game set from Mount St. Mary's.

Ward's teammate, Jason Green, had a hit in a 16-8 Game 1 win.
