Terriers' College Player of the Week: Connor O'Halloran

Left-hander Connor O'Halloran has been turning heads on the college baseball circuit this season for the University of Michigan Wolverines.
His 5-1 record and 2.09 ERA has landed him on the Perfect Game Midseason All-American Third Team.
Last week, he had another strong start against the University of Illinois when he picked up his fifth win. He threw six innings and allowed two runs (one earned) on three hits and struck out eight in a 12-9 victory.
O'Halloran (Mississauga, Ont.) has now fanned 59 in 47 1/3 innings and has held opposing hitters to a .194 batting average.
Honourable Mentions
It was a busy week for Austin Gomm and Parkland College. In 10 games played, Gomm had nine hits, including a home run and four doubles, walked eight times, drove in two and stole two bases.
Sam Worthen locked down his third save of the season with a scoreless 2/3 of an inning in a 5-3 Game 1 win over Lincoln. Back on the mound in Game 4, he threw two scoreless innings and struck out one in a 4-3 loss.
Righty Ben Abram took the mound for No. 13 Oklahoma State in their opener against Texas. Abram lasted 5 1/3 innings and surrendered five runs on nine hits with two walks and four strikeouts in a 5-3 loss.
Catcher Matt Ward chipped in two hits, a walk and an RBI in Niagara University's series with Rider. Unfortunately for the Purple Eagles, they dropped all three games of the series.
Tyler Offman collected a hit and drove in a run as New York University thumped Brandeis 21-0.
Gannon University's Evan Harrison made two appearances last week. Harrison threw a scoreless inning of relief, allowing a hit and striking out two during a 12-11 win over Ashland. He next saw action in a 4-3 loss to California Pennsylvania when he took the loss after throwing 2 2/3 innings and surrendering a run on three hits with a strikeout.
Rutgers went 2-2 this past week and Hugh Pinkney finished with five hits, four walks and two RBIs. He went 2-for-4 with a walk and an RBI in a 10-4 Game 2 loss to Michigan State before going 3-for-4 with a RBI in a Game 3 win.
Zach Marriott has found a home in the leadoff spot for Hendrix College. The smooth swinging infielder had three hits, walked five times, drove in two and was hit by a pitch in four games. He swatted a solo home run in a 17-5 win over the University of the Ozarks to open the week.
Josh Cote amassed six hits, walked once and drove in four for Northeastern Junior College. In a 14-6 win over Luna, he went 4-for-5 with a home run, three doubles and three RBIs.
Southpaw Campbell Ellis made a relief appearance for Virginia Commonwealth University. He walked one and struck out one in 1/3 innings.
Owen MacNeil made the start in the University of Charleston's final game of the week against Notre Dame College. Over four innings, he yielded one run on three hits, while walking one and striking out three.
St. Petersburg right-hander Matt Brown evened his record at 4-4 with a complete game, seven-inning shutout performance. Brown conceded one hit, walked three and punched out 10 in a 13-0 win over the Florida Southern JV's.
