Terriers' College Player of the Week: Lucas Earle

Left-hander Lucas Earle has been a reliable reliever for the Allan Hancock Bulldogs since he joined the team in the fall of 2020.

After a strong relief appearance to open the season on Jan. 28, he was back at it this past week.

Earle worked 3 1/3 innings scoreless innings as the Bulldogs downed Rio Hondo for their fourth straight win to open the season. The southpaw allowed two hits and struck out three.

Through five games this season, the former Terrier has made three appearances and owns a 3.68 ERA. For his career he's appeared in 30 games and thrown 54 1/3 innings with a 3.31 ERA.

Next up for the Bulldogs is a midweek contest on Tuesday at Long Beach, a Friday matinee rematch versus Rio Hondo and a Saturday tilt at Canyon.

Each week the the Terriers will name a College Player of the Week and highlight honourable mentions.
