Premier Sports Academy Year in Review

The 2022 season was a successful year for Premier Sports Academy. As we begin 2023, we want to take a moment to highlight some achievements within our facility, and look forward to what’s next.

National Competition:

50 athletes on Provincial Teams

12 athletes with the 2022 Canada Games Program (11 competed in Niagara Falls).


10 athletes compete in the US:

Jay Miller - Pro5

Hudson White - Bo Jackson Elite, Ontario Blue Jays

Jaida Lee - Blue Sox

Eli Dunphy - Niagara T-Wolves, Ontario Blue Jays

Mitch Noseworthy - Niagara T-Wolves

Kody Thistle - Canes Canada

Luke Druken - Canes Canada

Phil Ledgister - Canes Canada

Kieran Cutler - Canes Canada

Graham Noseworthy - Sudbury Voyageurs


Three University/College Signees:

Jadia Lee, the first female to pitch against men at the Canada Games threw out the first pitch before a Blue Jays home date at Rogers Centre.

Along with the success of our athletes, we also saw success on the coaching and development side of our program

Coaching/Development:

Noah Anderson, Aaron Flood, Ryan Morgan, Leon Ledgister, Keith Ball, Sweeney, and Todd Powell selected to coach current and future provincial teams.

Multiple Driveline certified coaches

First OnBaseU certified coach in Atlantic Canada (Anderson)

Rapsodo hitting and pitching units with certified coaches

Implementation of customized training programs through the utilization of the latest feedback tech (Swoop, Pulse)

Coaches receive full-time coaching jobs: Steve Donahue) joined the Sudbury Voyaguers, while strength and conditioning coach for Dan Hearn joining PSA full-time

Development of a female program

Implementation of Jaeger Sports Mental Warrior Program

Noah Anderson - Elected to sport NL Board of Directors

Aaron Flood - Elected vice-president, Baseball NL

Leon Ledgister - Elected Eastern director, Baseball NL

Todd Powell - President CBS Minor

Upcoming in 2023:

As we kickoff 2023, we have a few goals and opportunities that we are working towards:

Female pitching programs in preparation for the 2025 Canada Games hosted locally, which will have the first ever female competition.

21 athletes of various ages competing in Florida over Spring Break/Easter.
