On Tuesday, Baseball Canada announced the 38 players that will attend their Junior National Team training camp from August 18 to September 1.

Among those named to the roster were three members of the Terriers 17U team. Outfielder Cameron Chee-Aloy, catcher Colin Cymbalista and left handed pitcher Jordan Woods will don the red and white during the camp that is taking place in Ajax, Ont.

“All three have been integral members of the Terriers organization over the past few seasons,” 17U manager Dean Dicenzo said. “Cameron is the spark plug of our offence and plays great defence in the outfield, Colin is a good defensive catcher and hits in the middle of our lineup, and Jordan gives us a chance to win every time he takes the mound. It should come as no surprise that these three have caught the attention of Baseball Canada.”

Training camp games will take place at the beautiful Ajax Sportsplex. The Sportsplex was home to the 2015 Pan Am Games where Canada defeated the USA for gold. Following the camp, a select number of players will head to Florida for a seven-game Friendship Series against the USA. This is the first in-person event the program has been able to run since March 2020.

Along with the three Terriers players, 15U manager Rick Johnston will be among the coaches developing and evaluating the players.
