Official Vauxhall Academy of Baseball News Release

Vauxhall, Alta. - The Vauxhall Academy is very proud to announce three more Jets have committed to college baseball programs on scholarship for the 2021-2022 season.

All three players will finish up their spring in Vauxhall and will join their respective college programs in the fall of 2021.

In total 12 Jets have now committed to college programs for the fall.

RHP – Cole Alguire – Calgary, Alta. – has accepted an NAIA athletic scholarship to attend the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, B.C. The Thunderbirds play in one of the premier NAIA conferences and have been near the top of years.

RHP/INF – Nick Backstrom – Sundre, Alta. – has accepted an NAIA athletic and academic scholarship to attend Lindsey Wilson Blue Raiders in Columbia, Ky. The Blue Raiders play in one of the premier NJCAA conferences in the country Jayhawk conference.

OF/1B – Hunter Porter – Parkland County, Alta. – has accepted an NCAA Division 1 athletic and academic scholarship to attend Morehead State University Eagles in Morehead, Ky. The Eagles play in the in the Ohio Valley Conference and currently in first place.
