Ottawa, Ont. – Ottawa Titans infielder Jackie Urbaez has been named the Frontier League’s Player of the Week for the week of June 28 to July 3.

The native of Miami, Fla., went 11-for-30 with six homers, 13 runs scored and 12 RBIs in three Titans wins this past week. Urbaez collected three of his six home runs on June 29 against the New Jersey Jackals and had a pair on Saturday in New York.

Urbaez currently owns a .322 batting average, seven homers, 24 RBIs, a .428 OBP and a .510 slugging percentage in 39 games this season.

The 24-year-old is in his third season of professional baseball after being drafted in the 29th round by the Milwaukee Brewers in the 2019 MLB Draft. Urbaez reached A-advanced in his lone minor league season but spent the 2021 campaign with the Sussex County Miners hitting .261 in 58 games.
