By Bob Elliott Preparations are underway for next September’s third annual Tournament 12 at the Rogers Centre.
And we mean besides taking extra hacks at an indoor facility or trying not to get upset when a curve ball bounces short of the plate in the first week of February.
Players are registering now MLB.com for the six different tryout camps to be held in six different provinces.
Tournament 12 II was better organized than T12 I and organizer are hoping the improvement graph continues upwards.

Pierre Elliott Trudeau Park Friday Aug. 14 Each evaluation session will run roughly five hours.
Over 200 players have already registered for the five Rogers Centre auditions and the 45 Ontario spots ... for two Ontario teams and the Future team.
The camps determine players that will be selected to represent their Province/Region at T12. T12 will likely take place Sept. 14-18, with all games happening at Rogers Centre. (The date is not firm as it depends upon the the Toronto Argos yet-to-be-released Canadian Football League schedule.)
Amateur players between the ages of 14-19 (as of Sept. 1, 2015) can register to participate in the T12 camp. If a player is selected to participate in he will be assigned to the team representing the Province/Region which he were born.
Position players will be evaluated based on; speed, throwing, defence and hitting.
Pitchers will be evaluated by their bullpen sessions.
Players will be evaluated at the T12 camp by Toronto Blue Jays and MLB Scouting Bureau personnel. All final roster decisions will be determined by the Toronto Blue Jays Baseball Academy.
Bantam-aged players are welcome to attend.
The cost for the tryout camp is $100 per participant, plus applicable taxes and service
Rather than picking the teams in one day the rosters will be selected in three installments.
The dates:
May 1: The first five roster spots are determined for each team.
Aug. 14: The next eight roster spots are determined for each team.
Aug. 27: The final seven roster spots are determined for each team.
The Maritimes, led by Andrew Case, who Blue Jays scout Jamie Lehman signed, won the 2013 inaugural event, while Quebec, coached by Denis Boucher, was presented the 2014 T12 trophy by commissioner Robbie Alomar.
