Travers departs Ontario Blue Jays

After 17 years of working with the Ontario Blue Jays Sean Travers is stepping down as director of player development.
Throughout this time Travers has lead a dedicated team of carefully selected coaches who grew the Ontario Blue Jays to a nationally recognized program boasting a list of accomplished and talented alumni.
Over the years Travers and his coaches played an essential role in the everyday running of the successful program. The Ontario Blue Jays have seen more than 400 graduates move on to scholarships at top US colleges and universities, with many signing directly to pro leagues.
Travers leaves the Ontario Blue Jays in the hands of coaches who he has diligently mentored over the years.
Taking over all matters of baseball operations are Joe Ellison and Stephanie Wilkinson. Kyle DeGrace has been hired to serve director of player development and head coach at the 16U level.
DeGrace is an Ontario Blue Jays alumni. He joined as a 16 year old player in 2003 and continued in a coaching roll until 2016. He plays for the Barrie Baycats in the Intercounty Baseball League.
