Jordan Lennerton (Langley, BC) returned to pro ball for one day earlier this week, suiting up for the Québec Capitales in a Can Am Baseball League match against the Ottawa Champions.
On Jordan Lennerton night at Stade Canac in Quebec City, the 32-year-old was honoured before the game and played his familiar first base.
He drew a walk in his lone plate appearance as the Capitales won 6-5.
Lennerton played 199 games for the Capitales between 2016 and 2017, dominating Can Am pitching.
In 2016 the Surrey native and graduate of Langley’s Brookswood Secondary School hit .301 with a .390 on-base percentage, nine home runs, 22 doubles and 62 runs batted in. Lennerton went next-level in 2017, hitting 328 with a .442 OBP, 14 home runs, 21 doubles and 82 RBIs.
Lennerton is now a coach with the University of the Fraser Valley baseball team and at The Yard training facility in Chilliwack.
