Vallée is the best of the six Canucks in the new Draft League

Mathieu Vallée continues to shine in the brand new circuit -- the major league Draft League -- a loop whose goal is to provide a showcase for players eligible for the July draft.
In a 21-6 victory for his the Mahoning Valley Scrappers over the State College Spikes, Vallée reached base four times in seven attempts and crossed the plate three times.
Vallée (Saint-Joseph-du-Lac, Que.) had a base hit (1-for-4) and walked three times. The speedy Vallée also stole his 10th base of the season. It was his 10th stolen base in 10 games. He also has two doubles, five RBIs and a 1.341 OPS with the Scrappers.
How other Canucks are doing in the Draft League …
_ RHP Garrett Hawkins (Biggar, Sask.), of the Trenton Thunder, has a 3.38 ERA in two starts. The British Columbia Thunderbird has zero walks and eight strikeouts in eight innings.
_ RHP Mitch Bratt (Newmarket, Ont.), of the West Virginia Black Bears, is 0-1 with a 3.86 ERA. The Toronto Mets hurler has walked seven and fanned 12.
_RHP Dominic Hambley (Victoria, BC) of the Williamsport Crosscutters, has a 5.62 ERA. The Victoria Mariner has walked 12 and fanned 15 in eight innings.
_ INF Elijha Hammill (Oakville, Ont.), of the West Virginia Black Bears, is hitting .143 with a triple and two RBIs in four games. The Ontario Terrier product has a 1.900 OPS.
The other Canadians expected to play in the 68-game season are CF Matt Turino (Toronto, Ont.) of the St. Louis Billikens and formerly the Toronto Mets, 3B Damiano Palmegiani (Surrey, BC) of the Southern Nevada Coyotes and the Vauxhall Jets, C Max Wright (Toronto, Ont.) of the Indiana State Sycamores and the Great Lake Canadians, C Zac Fascia (Brampton, Ont.) Purdue Boilermakers and the Brampton Royals and RHP Adam McKillican (Comox, BC) of the Georgia Gwinnet Grizzlies and the Parksville Royals.
