Vancouver Canadians drop Game 2 of Northwest League Final

The Vancouver Canadians had a small setback in their pursuit of the Northwest League Championship, falling in Game 2 and having the series get tied up 1-1.

Vancouver Canadians 2, Eugene Emeralds 4

The Vancouver Canadians had their Northwest League finals pushed to the limit with a 4-2 Game-2 loss to the Eugene Emeralds.

Most of the scoring came early with Jose Espada allowing three runs in the first inning and another in the fifth before coming out of the game after 4 2/3 innings with four runs allowed on six hits (including a home run) and one walk with four strikeouts. Marcus Reyes went 2/3 of an inning, allowing a hit and Dany Jimenez gave up a hit, striking out one in 2/3 of an inning. Grayson Huffman finished the game off with two strong innings, walking one and striking out one.

Javier Assad, who tossed six innings at the Canadians, held the Cs to just three hits, including a single and a double from Brock Lundquist who scored a run and walked. Reggie Pruitt drove in both runs with a triple, going 1/4 and Norberto Obeso walked twice.
