Continued Provincial restrictions on large group gatherings and border crossings leave HarbourCats no choice but to opt out of the 2020 West Coast League Baseball season.

Official Victoria HarbourCats News Release

Victoria, BC – The Victoria HarbourCats Baseball Club is sorry to announce that because of the COVID-19 pandemic, our eighth season in the West Coast League (WCL) will be delayed until the summer of 2021.

The HarbourCats join the Bend Elks, Kelowna Falcons, Bellingham Bells and Corvallis Knights in being unable to participate in 2020 due to health directives.

The WCL continues to explore options for play in 2020 with their remaining member teams and their full press release on that topic is presented as a graphic below.

The HarbourCats look forward to a strong return in 2021, when we anticipate being joined on Vancouver Island by the expansion Nanaimo franchise, due to be officially named this summer. In that regard, information on 2021 HarbourCats season tickets and flex-pack purchases will be forthcoming next week.

Thank-you all for your continued support of HarbourCats baseball. We look forward to welcoming you back to Wilson’s Group Stadium at Royal Athletic Park in 2021.
