No doubt, Canadian ball fans were as pleased as I was upon hearing of Larry Walker’s induction into the Hall of Fame at Cooperstown.

When you examine his remarkable resume below, the question comes to mind ... “Why did it take 10 years for him to get in?”

No matter how long the wait was, the Baseball Writers Association of America voters got it right this time.

Now along with RHP Fergie Jenkins (Chatham, Ont.), RF Walker (Maple Ridge, B.C.) will officially be a member of the most exclusive club in baseball, with a plaque in Cooperstown. Bob Elliott (Kingston, Ont.) has his picture hanging there as a J.G. Taylor Spink Award winner.
