The Brooks Bombers have hired Ruddy Estrella as their new head coach.

The announcement comes on the heels of last year’s head coach Blake Rowlett’s decision to pursue other opportunities this summer.

Estrella is currently the pitching coach at Trinidad State Junior College located in Trinidad, Colo.

He is well known in the WCBL, having held the position of pitching coach for the Regina Red Sox in 2019 and 2022.

“We feel that Ruddy’s experience in the WCBL, both as a player and coach, will be an asset in building off the success we had last summer,” said Bombers GM Jason Wandler. “He is well connected in the college scene and will be able to recruit some talented players that will help us compete for a WCBL championship.”

The Bombers’ home opener is on May 27 at Elks Field.
