Lethbridge Bulls vs Fort McMurray Giants | 9 – 1

The Lethbridge Bulls continue to roll as they defeated the Fort McMurray Giants 9-1 and now hold a record of 8-2 for their last 10 games played. Lethbridge holds second place in the WCBL’s West Division with a record of 25-20. The Fort McMurray Giants fall to 20-24 for the season, remaining 1 GB for the final playoff spot in the West Division.

Connor Breding was outstanding for Bulls as he got the start, tossing seven innings, while striking out four and allowing only one earned run. Kai Poffenroth and Cal Tecklenburg each threw one inning to complete the victory.

Bulls catcher, Roger Riley finished the ballgame 3-4 with two RBIs and two runs scored as his teammate, Grant Kerry also drove in two RBIs, finishing 2-5.

Medicine Hat Mavericks vs Edmonton Prospects | 8 – 2

The Medicine Hat Mavericks downed the Edmonton Prospects 8-2 in a rain shortened ballgame that only saw the two teams play 5 innings, bringing their record up to 23-21, good enough for third in the West Division. The Prospects fall to 21-23 for the season and are now holding on to the final playoff spot by only one game.

Jaymon Cervantes received the start for the Mavericks, throwing a complete game (five innings), striking out four and allowing only four hits and two earned runs on the night.

Mavericks third baseman, Collin Klingensmith had a perfect day at the plate, reaching base all four plate appearances, finishing 3-3 with a walk and two runs scored.

Regina Red Sox vs Moose Jaw Miller Express | 2 – 6

The Moose Jaw Miller Express took down the first place Regina Red Sox by a score of 6-2, bringing their record above .500 as they sit at 22-21 for the season.

Matt Jackson was terrific for the Miller Express, tossing eight innings of work while striking out five and allowing only one earned run before Blake Gallagher came in to close things out in the ninth.

Miller Express outfielder, Alex Orenczuk went 2-4 in the ballgame with a double, two RBIs and a run scored.

Swift Current 57’s vs Weyburn Beavers | 8 – 3

The Swift Current 57’s keep climbing the standings in the WCBL’s East Division as they downed the Weyburn Beavers 8-3, giving them sole possession of second place with a record of 29-16 and now only trail the first place Regina Red Sox by two games.

Tyler Murphy was the starter for the 57’s, tossing five innings, striking out five, before Graeme Cherry and Garrett Alexander came in to toss the final two innings of the seven inning ballgame.

57’s outfielder, John Sechen crushed a homer in the victory, finishing the night 2-4 with two runs scored and three RBIs.

Okotoks Dawgs vs Yorkton Cardinals | 13 – 1

The Okotoks Dawgs defeated the Yorkton Cardinals 13-1, giving them eight victories in their last 10 games played and now lead the West Division by 9.5 games.

Nick Vickers tossed six innings for the Dawgs as he got the start in Yorkton, striking out eight and not allowing a hit, before Brendan Logan, Tyler McWillie, and Dan Ferrario each threw an inning to complete the victory.

Dawgs catcher, Noah Penney hit the only home run in the ballgame as he finished 3-5 with two RBI’s and a run scored.

Brooks Bombers vs Melville Millionaires | 8 – 10

The Melville Millionaires defeated the Brooks Bombers 10-8 in a slugfest, which saw 21 hits in the ballgame between the two teams. With the victory, Melville brings their record up to 16-28 for the season, as the Bombers fall to 11-31.

Chris Paruleski got the start for the victorious Millionaires, tossing four innings of work, striking out four, before William Hlady tossed three innings himself, striking out three. Frankie Almendarez and Chris Lacher each threw an inning to complete the victory.

Millionaires outfielder, Marquis Irving had five RBIs in the ballgame as he finished 2-3 with a double, a homer and two runs scored.
