Lethbridge Bulls 18 Brooks Bombers 0

The Lethbridge Bulls thumped the Brooks Bombers 18-0, bringing their record up to 17-13, as the Bombers fall to 7-22, remaining in last place in the WCBL’s West Division.

Fresh off being named to the WCBL All-Star Game, Bulls first baseman, Kaleb Warden had one of the most impressive performances this season, finishing the night 3-5 with three homers and 10 RBI’s. Warden cranked two homers in one inning and ended with two grand slams.

Tevin Hall got the start for Lethbridge, tossing five innings, striking out two, allowing zero earned runs and only two hits allowed. Cal Tecklenburg and Jordan Parranto each pitched two innings apiece to finish the ballgame.

Moose Jaw Miller Express 6 Edmonton Prospects 5

In an extra-inning thriller, it was the Moose Jaw Miller Express who eventually became victorious over the Edmonton Prospects, winning the ballgame 6-5. The loss drops the Prospects down to fourth place in the WCBL’s West Division with a record of 14-16, as the Miller Express improve to 13-12.

Moose Jaw third baseman, Geordie McDougall went 3-5 with a double in the win, while his teammate, Eric Marriott went 2-4 with an RBI.

Matt Jackson got the start for the Miller Express, tossing a gem through his seven innings of work, striking out six batters, but it was Michael Ross who got the “win” after coming in relief to toss the final three innings of the 10 inning contest, striking out five batters.

Medicine Hat Mavericks 8 Swift Current 57’s 2

The Medicine Hat Mavericks continue to climb up the West Division standings, beating the Swift Current 57’s 8-2, improving their record to 13-16, as the 57’s fall to 16-10.

Mavericks third baseman, Taylor Wright had an impressive night going 2-4 with a walk, a double, and three RBI’s, as his teammate, PJ Garcia finished the game 1-3 with three runs scored.

Jaymon Cerevantes tossed a complete game for the Mavericks, allowing only six hits and one earned run, while striking out four.

Yorkton Cardinals 6 Regina Red Sox 0

The Yorkton Cardinals continue to falter, losing their ninth straight to the Regina Red Sox by a score of 6-0. The loss brings the Cardinals record down to a lowly 2-25, as the Red Sox move into first place of the WCBL’s East Division with a record of 19-7.

Red Sox catcher, Willie Estrada crushed a homer in the victory, collecting three RBI’s for his club, finishing the night 3-4, while his teammate, Ivan Nunez finished with two doubles and an RBI.

Former WCBL Pitcher of the Week, Michael Batten pitched a complete game for the Red Sox, striking out 11 batters in the victory, allowing only three hits.
