Fort McMurray Giants 9 Lethbridge Bulls 6

In a 12-inning ballgame, the Fort McMurray Giants found a way to steal the victory from the Lethbridge Bulls, winning in come from behind fashion, 9-6. The win gives the Giants a record of 10-13, while the Bulls fall to .500 with a record of 12-12.

Giants third baseman, Eric Meyer went 3-6 with a walk, two doubles, and an RBI in the win for his team, while his teammate, Tanner Hess, went 3-7 with a homer, and two RBI’s.

Jordan Williams got the start for Fort McMurray, but was pulled after 1 2/3 innings of work as he allowed six earned runs during his time. The Giants bullpen did the rest of the work, shutting the Bulls down, holding them to zero runs, tossing 10.1 innings.

Swift Current 57’s 6 Moose Jaw Miller Express 3

The Swift Current 57’s earned the victory in tonight’s contest against the Moose Jaw Miller Express, defeating them by a score of 6-3 in extra innings.

57’s shortstop, Kiel Krumwiede reached base an outstanding six times, finishing the night 4-4 with two walks, a double, and an RBI.

Tyler Murray received the start for Swift Current, throwing six innings, striking out nine, but it was his teammate, Garrett Alexander who earned the victory as he threw three and one thirds innings, striking out four. Graeme Cherry, finished the ballgame, earning the save.

Melville Millionaires 8 Yorkton Cardinals 2

The Melville Millionaires dropped the Yorkton Cardinals, 8-2 bring their record up to 9-15, while the Cardinals remain in last place in the WCBL’s East Division, holding a record of 2-19.

Millionaires first baseman, Mike Ozga had four hits on the night, going 4-5 with one RBI and a run scored. Shortstop for Melville, Ryan Moormeyer drove in three RBI’s in his teams victory, finishing 2-4.

Tracy Warren got the start for Melville, tossing six innings in an absolutely dominating outing as he struck out 15 Cardinals batters, allowing only one hit.35

Edmonton Prospects 8 Weyburn Beavers 6

An inter-division ballgame found the Edmonton Prospects traveling to Weyburn, Saskatchewan for a contest with the flaming hot Beavers and it was the Prospects who were victorious at the end of the night, beating the Beavers 8-6.

Prospects shortstop, Javier Ramirez was the heavy-hitter of the ballgame, cranking a homer in the victory, finishing 3-4 with two RBI’s and two runs scored.

Matthew Erikson got the start for the Prospects, but was roughed up for three hits and six earned runs over two innings of work. Zac Harrington came in relief, tossing five innings, keeping the Beavers from scoring throughout his outing, striking out five batters.

Regina Red Sox vs Okotoks Dawgs

Game was called due to rain and will resume tomorrow in part of a double-header beginning at 4:05PM.
