Women’s Championship set to begin today

OTTAWA, Ont. – Baseball Canada’s championship season is about to get started with the Women’s Championships set for July 27 to July 30 in Halifax and Upper Sackville, N.S.

Nine teams are in Nova Scotia for the event, representing seven provinces including host Nova Scotia along with BC, Alberta, Manitoba, Saskatchewan and two entries each from Québec and Ontario.

Ontario enters the event as the four-time defending champions having won 10 Women’s Championships gold medals in the 15-year history of the event, including a gold medal win over Québec in 2022.

WHAT:

Women’s Championships at Mainland Commons in Halifax and Weir Field in Upper Sackville.

WHEN:

Round-robin play begins on Thursday, July 27 with medal games set to take place on Sunday, July 30.
