PBL ANNOUNCES 2017 ALL – CONFERENCE AWARDS
The British Columbia Premier League’s Executive Management Committee selected the 2017 All-Conference Teams and Individual Player Awards.
After a very lengthy process, the all-conference awards were selected by a committee that reviewed the nomination of players from coaches from their team only, stats for league competition, coaches’ picks from team nominations that did not include players from their own team for all-conference consideration, and input from other knowledgeable baseball people.
The goal of the process was to solicit feedback from individuals who know the players and who have watched them play during league competition.
It should be noted that players on the Junior National Team have been included in the selection process providing they have enough games during league competition that amounts to around 2/3 of the minimum requirements for a position player and pitcher.
The North Shore Twins were the 2017 Team and Organization of the Year. The Twins captured gold at the Bantam Western Canadians, and three provincial championships at all levels in 2017; Bantam, Junior, and Premier.
