Canadian Cerantola fits in well at Mississippi State in freshman season

Each summer, many baseball players have to make the tough choice to either come to college or sign a professional contract after being selected in the MLB Draft. Great Lake Canadians alum and Oakville, Ont., native, Eric Cerantola, however, not only faced that dilemma but also had to choose which sport he wanted to play. He was drafted by both the Tampa Bay Rays in baseball and the Owen Sound Attack of the Ontario Hockey League. Logan Lowery, a writer with the Northeast Mississippi Daily Journal, writes that Cerantola choose neither and instead opted to head to Mississippi State to pitch at the collegiate level for the Bulldogs.
