From pre-med to the pros, Smith ready to begin career with Indians

Chilliwack Cougars and Junior National Team alum Cade Smith (Abbotsford, B.C.) has been a pre-med student at the University of Hawaii for the past three years. In June, the 6-foot-5, 220-pound right-hander signed as an amateur free agent with the Cleveland Indians and he feels ready to embark on a professional career. Canadian Baseball Network writer J.P.
