Canadians in College baseball report 2017-3-13 to 3-19

This report provides a summary of hitting and pitching statistics for 1,116 games played last week by 290 schools with 631 Canadian players from the CIC CBN master list.

From the mound, 133 Canadian pitchers made 173 appearances, 51 were starts. As a group, they threw 404 innings, striking out 358, earning 20 wins and four saves.

At the plate, 271 Canadian batters had 2,372 at bats with 714 hits producing 477 RBIs.

Notable pitching performances
Matthew Beaton and Robbie Osterer had four appearances.
Matt Lloyd and Claudio Alejandro Ortiz Prefontaine had two wins.
Chase Stewart had two saves.
Noah Gapp, Taylor Burns, Reilly O’Rourke, J.P. Stevenson and David Gauthier had quality starts.

Notable batting performances
Dawson Yates had 11 hits.
